Can someone advise as to whether the use of the Enterotbe/Oxiferm is as useful as the BBL Crystal system for identification of organisms found in Pharmaceutical manufacturing Environmental Monitoring studies?

thanks,

There is a highly relavant review article :

Manual and Automated Instrumentation for Identification of
Enterobacteriaceae and Other Aerobic
Gram-Negative Bacilli

in CLINICAL MICROBIOLOGY REVIEWS, Jan. 2005, p. 147162 Vol. 18, No. 1
http://doi:10.1128/CMR.18.1.147162.2005

There is a table on page 150 which compares the features of the identification methods including enterotube II , oxiferm and crystal E/NF the crystal method is able to ID wider range of targets in a single assay.
