I count NFS-60 with haemacytometer,but the cells are too small to count.Can anybody tell me a good way to know how many of the cells are alive? thanks.

Something is wrong if they are too small to count. Maybe your looking at yeast?

We use trypan blue. Dead cells stain blue.
