Hi folks !any protein-protecting group specialist out there , or anyone who worked with FMOC /CBZ (Benzylchloroformate) -protecting group can help me ?I want to benzylate the free amines of a peptide , and i'm thinking about using Benzylchloroformate & Base (maybe DIPEA (DIEA) ...... and now the question : Can CBZ be kicked by 20% Piperidine ? ( i dont think so ? )thx.Diablooo
I am not an expert. No to your question. H2/Pd is mostly used. Strong acid would do too-HBr/HOAC mixture.
yes thats what i read too, thx for your answer ghunter.since cbz is also unstable toward nucleophiles ( piperidine) i cant use it anyway :D , but thx for your reply !diablooo
