Biotech R&D Manager

Mo Bio Laboratories, Inc., www.mobio.com, a small, growing Carlsbad, CA biotech company, specializes in technologies for nucleic acid purification and isolation. We develop and manufacture innovative life science products for molecular biologists.

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Ph.D.-level Molecular Biologist to design and conduct experiments, evaluate test data and generate documentation for scientific projects for the development and improvement of Mo Bio product lines. The Manager will collaborate with internal staff and external partners to ensure effective and efficient completion of R&D projects.

Candidates will have a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, or a related field, plus 5 years of relevant life science industry experience. Expertise with DNA/RNA isolation, new product development and the ability to analyze scientific data is essential. MS Office computer proficiency, strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write clear, concise reports and present data within and outside of the company is also required. The ability to provide laboratory leadership and function well within a team environment is important.
