human, mouse or ????

Embryo to Fetus to adult: Yolk sac, placenta, AGM/PAS, liver, spleen (small mammals only) and then bone marrow (marrow hematopoiesis can change sites as humans/animals grow). The thymus is another site mostly dedicated to T-cell development. When and if these sites are active depends on the species.

Mature cells circulate throughout the body but hematopoietic cells are enriched in the blood, spleen and lymph nodes. Different lymphoid tissues such as tonsils or mesenteric lymph nodes have different types of cells. There are also blood cells found in the peritoneum and the liver is also a major site for immune surveillance by different types of blood cells.
