Hi
I used the SEM to take some images of maltose slabs. Basically I melted down some maltose, molded it and took images of it. However, I found that the specimum changed in shape as I was examining it. It appeared to melt and cracks appeared in the surface coating.
I was wondering if anyone had any idea what might be happening to the specimum?

Any assistance woul dbe greatly appreciated.

Hi,
Could you please attach a pic of the sample.
What did you use when coating the spe before the sem and how did you prepare the sample for the sem?
Guy
