I'm shopping round for micromanipulators at the moment and wondered what the general consensus of people were about motor driven verus piezo driven devices interms of stability and durability.

I noticed WPI have now entered the market with joystick piezo device. Does anyone own one and have any opinions?

My boss swears Sutter and probably the best but funnily enough we have a lab full of Burleigh and Narshige devices. So I'm not sure why he affirms such faith in them. They also seem to be the most expensive on the market. Do any Sutter owners feel they get their money's worth?

Everone seems to moan about the Burleigh piezo's but yet everone seems to have them.

Am I missing something???

All opinions gratefully received!

Thanks

We do have some old Leitz manipulators, they are just rather large and cumbersome for the set up we have on a bench top vibration table in a tissue culture hood.
