Anyone using an automated liquid handler to automate ELISAs? How important is vendor? Was setup done to your satisfaction? Can it be programmed easily? What is relative cost vs same ELISAs done manually? Was interface with LIMS done well (scale 1-10)? Was support as expected or did vendor quickly exit after installation? How important (scale = 1-10) was use of commercial ELISAs vs 'home-brews"? Would you purchase same system again from same vendor? What is most important factor in selecting a system like this? Was there a cost limit and if so, how much?

We are looking at a variety of automated liquid handling systems that claim they can automate the performance of ELISAs (e.g., sample -> result). Before spending the $$$, we would like to know what experiences / comments others have also found in similar situation?

You could try using the BioTek Precision Pipetting System. The company will spend as long as you need during the setup. You can program it either via a keypad or using a computer.
