We are going to buy cryostat for frozen sections. Can you recommend us which model to buy and why and which model we should never buy? I appreciate any opinion based on personal experience.

hi Marina,
I used to work alot with cryostats. I used several types all from Leica. The last that I used was Leica 2800E Frigocut Microtome Cryostat, I also used the CM3000 by Leica.
Both are great.
To your knowlage I used to cut bone after EDTA decalcifcation and got very good reults.

The CM3000 or 3050 are both great.
I guess it is more easy to use as there is an automatic advancing system so you do not need to use the handle all the time.
Guy

What are you going to cut?
