Hi. I'm new to macrophage works, so I have this very basic question. I figured that people use thioglycollate to eleicit peritoneal macrophages. Are these macrophages activated or are they immature? Also, where do you get sucrose solution?
Thanks~!!!

Thank you so much. Oh.. I've got another question. Which thioglycollate should I use? we have fluid thio medium from Difco for micro work. Is this O.K., or sould I get "thioglycollate berwer modified" for injection???

Hi! Take a look at the macrophage isolation protocol in this site - you can search for it. That will give you additional details on the procedure.
