This report by Nanowerk News describes comments by Dr. G.V. Andrievsky at the 8th International Conference Fullerenes and Atomic Clusters in St. Petersburg this past July.

The researchers call into question previous studies on the putative toxicity of unmodified fullerenes, suggesting that methods of fullerene preparations (e.g. solvents used for dilution etc) effect toxiological studies.
