Hi,
Let's use this section to discuss topics related to data processing and intelligent systems. For several years, I have used various tools as an aid to handle research data. One beneficial tool I used is the WEKA Machine Learning Tool(http://www.cs.waikato.ac.nz/ml/weka/).
WEKA is an open source software package written in Java, which comprise of collections of tools for data pre-processing, classification, regression, association rules, prediction and visualization.
Experiences, comments, suggestions, problems, solutions, and etc. are welcome.
Cheers,
bgerardo

Hi there,
Yep, I've used weka quite a bit for my work, though I haven't used it for text mining purposes.
What do you think about renaming this forum "Intelligent Systems" to broaden it a bit?
Have you used the BioWeka package at all?

Thanks for your post bgood. I agree to your suggestions about renaming this forum as "Intelligent Systems". In this way we can capture widespread coverage of the topics for discussion.
I heard about the BioWeka as a module that contains extension libraries to the WEKA main framework, but not tried it yet. Everyone is welcome for a scholarly discussion about it.

Hi guys,
Currently I am working on my research about "intelligent data mining agent in distributed environment" and I came across with two cited references such as "Distributed Genetic Programming Framework" and the PM-DGP".
Could someone suggest rich resources for the mentioned references? I got one reference from Sourceforge for the former but I need additional info about it. Thanks.

I'm not sure exactly what you are requesting. Are those the titles of specific papers that you are interested in or just topics? It would help if you could provide links.
I've done a fair amount of work with GAs in the past .. what are you trying to get your intelligent data mining agent to do? What are the challenges that you face?
