I have to commend Beckman Coulter for their impeccable design of the Biomek 2000. We integrated the instrument into our laboratory about three years ago, and I couldn't imagine life without it! The Biomek has incredible liquid handling capabilities, and reduces the risk of human error in our plate prep. My hands used to go stiff from the endless pipetting I was enduring each day to set up hundreds of patient samples for PCR, TTGE, and then on to our Beckman CEQ Sequencer (which, coincidentally, works hand in hand with the Biomek). Due to higher demands for throughput of samples as our company is drastically expanding, we will certainly be continuing to add to our lab automation throughout many areas of our lab processes.
