This is an old, old thread, but in case you are still around, may I ask which one you ended up purchasing? I am looking for a 96-well plate washer, and my options are BioTek ELx405, Tecan 96-PW, Molecular Devices Aquamax 2000 and Dynex Ultrawash Plus.
Also, do you or anyone have any specific comment or objection about buying these second-hand/used?
Kindly let me know.

Hi We got the BioRad 1575 Immunowash. Very good and reliable washer. I would say the best cost effective washer that was available. In the last 1.5 yr since we got it we did not have any problems.

Thanks very much for the reply. Would you remember a ballpark figure as to how much that was? I have always had very bad after-sales service experience with costly BioRad equipment - unfortunately. But do please let me know.

Sorry can not remember. But since then I had the posibility to work with the Tecan and it costed ~17K and I would say it is a bit better then the BioRad. Guy

Hi dattak We have a Bio tek ELx50 washer in our lab. Its working fine since three years. We get it checked once in a year as Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) Hope it is useful to you or anyone else who are in the phase of buying a new one for their lab.
