'The Interplay between Protein Phosphorylation and Ubiquitination in Cell Signaling'
When: August 30th - September 2nd 2007

Where: Apex City Quay Hotel & Spa, Dundee, UK

The Symposium is being co-sponsored by Sir Philip Cohen and Prof. Dario Alessi (MRC Protein Phosphorylation Unit, Dundee, UK) in conjunction with Millipore.

The exciting programme will consist of a plenary lecture by Tony Hunter (Salk Institute, CA, USA) and two days of presentations by some of the world's leading scientists. The Symposium will also see the culmination of the Millipore 'Young Cell Signaller 2007' Award. See the 'program' link on the left to see the full provisional program.

Delegate numbers are limited to 300, so register today to guarantee your place.

Accommodation in Dundee and free bus travel from Edinburgh airport can be booked during registration - visit the accommodation and travel links for further details.

Important Dates:

Poster abstract submission deadline: 30th June 2007

Symposium Aims

The aims of the Symposium are to:

Provide an in-depth state of the art overview of focused topics in cell signaling.
Cover a range of the latest key initiatives in the areas of cell signaling that are of crucial importance in drug discovery and disease.
Enable participation of interested scientists at all levels by having a modest conference attendance fee. This is a 'not for profit' meeting, any surplus funding will be re-invested in research at the University of Dundee.
Incorporate the Millipore 'Young Cell Signaller 2007' Award.

.........................
"To those who would tear the world down: We will defeat you. To those who seek peace and security: We support you. And to all those who have wondered if America's beacon still burns as bright: Tonight, we proved once more that the true strength of our nation comes not from the might of our arms or the scale of our wealth, but from the enduring power of our ideals: democracy, liberty, opportunity and unyielding hope." -- Barack Obama, Nov. 4, 2008
