BiNS stands for Bioinformatic Network of Students. It is a Bioinformatics club based out of Vancouver, BC. Our mission statement is to create a network where fellow Bioinformaticians can connect. We intend to train Bioinformaticians through the guidance of developing of Bioinformatics software in a completely open, collaborative environment unconstrained by the pressures of academia and industry.

FCC:

Thanks for your sharing the Bioinformatic Network of Students (BiNS) club with the board. Is there a way where interested scientists can find out more about your organization?

Hi Tony,

As of right now, we are still starting up so we don't really have any more information to give as of yet. We do have a facebook group called BiNS in which all of our members are in it. We use this to post new information and events. But with this forum, we should be migrating our posting to here.

We have a club constitution in the works right now, and we shall be posting it online soon.

Thanks for your interest.
