I'm still a little new to scientist solutions so I thought I would see who out there has done research similar to mine. My thesis research was aimed at the isolation and identification of unstable reaction intermediates of Cytochrome P450. I studied site directed mutants of CYPBM3 and concluded that in the presence of oxidants such as m-CPBA an unstable porphyrin pi-cation intermediate known as compound 1 was generated that rapidly decomposed to form a reaction intermediate similar to the high-valent intermediate formed in vivo that is responsible for the hydroyxlation chemistry CYPBM3 performs. Anyone out there want to share there research on P450 feel free, that's why I started the forum:)
