Hi,
I'm a master student and I will prepare a presentation for this term about proteomics. I'm also thinking to use proteomics in my master thesis. I'm searching through the articles, but I couldn't find right subject to talk about. I'm a molecular biologist, so I'm very into the effects of the proteins on gene expression especially in viruses.
Could anyone suggest me a new hot topic about it?

There are many hot topics in proteomics. One of them in Membrane proteins. Lots of labs are try to draw a proteome map. Through that one could also study the protein - protein interactions.
If this topic intrests you I got a nice idea for a paper that you can read.

I also realized that there are loads of labs dealing with human virus proteomics and they are working on the virus proteins and their interactions.I liked this subject.
