Tony , thanks for the article ,it has some new information for me ..The fundamental questions however are still unanswered . How do our commensal flora avoid immune-surveillance while still managing to elicit an immune response that produces antibodies..Why do such comparatively small amounts of introduced probiotic bacteria have the effect they do...Why don't probiotic bacteria multiply or stay in the gut ..I think i have a few answers but it's very obvious that our relationship with microbes is an unexplored area .
