Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility-Ob/Gyn



Summary of Essential Job Duties:
The department of Ob/Gyn is seeking a motivated candidate who has experience in molecular biology to work on a number of different projects that focus on transcriptional regulation in the ovary. The candidate will performs a variety of experimental protocols and procedures to support the objectives of one or more laboratory research projects in this area of research. The candidate will performs various biomedical experimental protocols including Protein preparation/Western blot analysis; Immunoprecipitation; RNA preparation/Northern blots; cell culture; mammalian cell transfection and infection, bacterial culture and plasmid DNA preparation; basic molecular biology-restriction enzyme digestion, subcloning, PCR. In addition, new techniques will be performed and developed to help expand the research objectives. The candidate will work with mouse and/or human tissue research protocols. May order laboratory supplies and maintain related records. Complies with safety standards and procedures.

Education/Experience:
PhD or MD (preferably in biological sciences). Motivated individual willing to learn new techniques. General biological research laboratory and molecular biology experience.
