hi
does anybody know where to find litterature regarding pre-trtment of the receptor e.g. with benzodiazepines?
I have seen other studies sometimes pretreat for e.g. 10 s, but why, how long and when it is needed is very hard to find out. I have tried searching in the internet without results.
Any help???
thank you

Generally we use 2 minutes when adding a ligand to a receptor but some ligands are more hydrophobic and require 15 minutes. If the channel block is from within the cell, the drug may need time to get in. Some open channel blockers need a repeated open and close of the channel to work. Whatever the literature, it's generally best to test the variables in your own system. Sorry I don't have more specific info.
