Are there any recruiters who could place a recent graduate with a PhD in Epidemiology? This is for a close friend of mine. Thanks.

My friend just got a nice epidemiology job with the state of South Carolina. I invited her to join this forum. I'll ask her to post some info on the places she found to be useful in her job searches.

Hi, yes. I found that both careerbuilder and Monster were useful for manager level jobs dealing with epidemiology. However, it depends on what you want to do. Are you interested in clinical trials? That would require contact with pharmaceutical companies. Are you more interested in the public or private sector? Government jobs? Do you want to work on a grant or at an internship?

Thanks for the Info,
Right now Iam doing my masters thesis on "Racial Disparities in Down syndrome Mortality"

I would like to work either in scio-reproductive epi or clinical trials but all the Pharma- jobs I have come across need some kind of clinical trial experience , just wondering if there are any entry level ones?

Is it possible to do an internship or to do part-time work with someone associated with your program? That might be an avenue to check.
