Does any body have a protocol for how to isolate RNA from bone tissue (any bone)? Appreciate any help with this regard!Manish
I found this protocol that uses trizol:http://www.stanford.edu/group/sjeffreylab/PDF%20Files/RNA_isolation.pdfOr try this paper:http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=PubMed&list_uids=12401828&dopt=AbstractAnd this link on protocol online (But that is me cheating, someone has answered the question for me):http://www.protocol-online.org/biology-forums/posts/1141.htmlHope that helps!
Thanks a lot!Manish
manish:Please refer to this previous posting on Scientist Solutions.RNA Isolation from Bone Protocols
I have used RNeasy lipid Tissue Mini Kit from QIAGEN to isolate RNA from bone. It works well.
