This is the fifth year of training opportunities for students at the Southern California Bioinformatics Summer Institute (SoCalBSI). The program consists of three weeks of didactic training followed by seven weeks of paid research training in bioinformatics. The previous participants have gone on to enter graduate programs at Caltech, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Berkeley, UC San Diego and others. SoCalBSI is funded by The National Science Foundation, The National Institutes of Health, and The Economic & Workforce Development, and is able to fund eligible participants.

Online applications are now being accepted until March 05, 2007. The program will be held between June 18 to August 23, 2007.
