Who sells the best TFA for use at 0.1% in HPLC solvents? I've had problems with consistency in my peptide separations, and would like to ensure that the TFA is not a question/issue in the future.
We generallly use Fluka, which you can buy through Sigma. But, here is an explanation of why you might be having issues. http://www.westernanalytical.com/vydac/whyTFA.htmRB
I've solved the problem by switching to Pierce TFA in 1 ml ampules. http://www.piercenet.com/Products/Browse.cfm?fldID=02040623I just add an ampule to a 1 L bottle of HPLC-grade water. I use their formic acid in amps as well.
