Just wondering where you think the Web2.0 phenomenon will take message boards in the sciences. Will they create virtual laboratories? How will the Internet change the way we think about conducting and organizing science?

To get an idea what I meant by collaboratory, have a look at this paper:

Its pretty far off from the simple message board idea, but only in the software - the basic idea of distributed collaboratoy problem solving is the same.
