Hi all,
Here is my H&E method, I used it for many years now.

Hematoxylin/Eosin Staining Protocol by Guy Sovak
Good for Parafin and Frozen section up to 7u
Reagents:
1. Ethanol 95%
2. Xylenes
3. Water
Staining:
1. Rehydration
a. Xylenes 2 dips each for x 5 minutes
b. 100% ethanol 2 dips each for x 5 minutes
c. 95% ethanol 2 dips each for x 5 minutes
d. MilliQ water soak for 5 minutes
2. Staining
a. Quick dip in hematoxylin
b. Dip in one water container, then put in tap water source for 10 minutes.
c. Quick dip in eosin
3. Dehydration:
a. 95% ethanol 2 x 30s
b. 100% ethanol 2 x 30s
c. Xylenes dip twice for 30s
4. Mounting:
a. Put one drops of mounting medium on coverslip.
b. Press the cover slip on the slide.
c. Remove bubbles away from tissue.
d. Leave slides to dry in hood

one of senior from long back has problem slides not taking eosin

One could have a problem but if the protocol is followed as described their shouldnt be any problems.
