The first call for Special Interest Groups, Tutorials, and Technical Demonstrations for ISCBs 15th International Conference on Intelligent Systems for Molecular Biology (ISMB), being held jointly with the 6th European Conference on Computational Biology (ECCB), is now officially open. Conference Chair Thomas Lengauer together with co-chairs Burkhard Rost and Peter Schuster encourage proposal submissions that address fields of interest to ISMB/ECCB delegates for in-depth one- or two-day SIGs, or for half-day Tutorials to be offered in the days preceding the main ISMB/ECCB 2007 conference. Technical Demonstration time slots are also available in the main conference agenda for academic or commercial software/hardware demonstrations of value to our community. ISMB/ECCB 2007 will be the premier international bioinformatics conference of 2007, and selected SIGs, Tutorials and Demos will serve as significant options for all delegates registering for the conference.

LAST CALL FOR ISMB/ECCB 2007 Special Sessions Proposals (including resubmissions see note below)

www.iscb.org/ismbeccb2007/specialsessions/

DEADLINE: October 29

ISMB/ECCB 2007 will feature a new track of half-day Special Sessions to run throughout the conference. These sessions have the purpose of introducing relevant scientific issues and topics that are typically not within the focus of an ISMB/ECCB meeting. Please note: due to technical problems with the submission email address, if you have already submitted a Special Sessions proposal and have received no acknowledgement of your submission, please resubmit now. The deadline is just days away and only proposals received and acknowledged by the deadline will be considered.
