I am looking for a post-doc or a job position in Forensic science. Where is the best place to look for this? My background is pharmacology. Do anyone have any advice?

Where is your location? I think you can always check with the Police department. They are hiring experts in their forensic laboratories. A friend of mine got just hired by LAPD as a molecular biologist to work in downtown police laboratories.

Check government intelligence agencies: FBI, Police department. They need interested experts like you.

So does anyone here work in forensics, yet? If so what is the best part of your job and is it all you thought it would be?

From my experience of forensics - not from working in it myself, but colleagues have and I have worked on forensics related projects - it can be exceedingly dull and tedious a lot of the time . You need patience, and meticulous attention to detail. It's nowhere near as sexy as they show on tv, far more routine and mundane. I used to long to work in forensics until I saw the reality.
