The October 3, 2006 issue of PNAS has an interesting commentary and the associated article on making mAbs in plants. This has been something that has been tried for several years now - and is probably a key means to lower the high costs associated with Ab based therapy - with highly varying degrees of success, and not a whiff of FDA approval. Hopefully some of the measures outlined in the paper will lead to future clinical use.
