Hai, I'm a new member of this forum. Is there anyone in this forum can suggest methods to confirm mutation form the sequence variants.

Hai everyone!

My study is on cancer research and basically we focus on genetic (particularly at molecular level). So right now we had sequenced the gene which is BRCA gene and we found several sequence variants. From my knowledge these sequence variants could be either polymorphism or true mutation. I'm sure there are lots of things to do before we can really confirm that the sequence variants is actually a true mutation. I'm still new in this field and pls could anyone share either some tips or suggestion of methods for me to further investigate changes at molecular level. Thanks!

best regards,
aisyah
