Job Description:

Qualifications:

Ability to work as an independent researcher in a high-throughput purfication environment, working with a number of different samples in parallel while maintaining sample integrity
Experience in using a wide variety of protein purficication techniques, including affinity and classical purification methods to produce active, highly purified and concentrated proteins
Interest in learning and developing new protein purification, modification, and analytical skills
Excellent organization, communication, and record-keeping skills
3+ years experience in an industrial purification setting; alternatively a Ph.D. and post-doctoral experience including extensive purification and analysis work over a number of different challenging proteins
Job Responsibilities:

Conducting independent protein purification projects, including very challenging targets such as membrane proteins
Conducting multi-milligram scale purifications of target proteins, delivering active proteins at very high levels of purity and concentration
Learning and developing new methods for protein purificiation, modification, and analysis
Work with other group members to improve current processes and workflows, and continue to look for ways to improve output within the department
Maintain accurate lab records, and enter those records into the LIMS system in a timely manner
