Does anyone know of any software that will suggest a structure for a protein given its amino acid sequence? Thanks

Hi
I will preffer to remind you that till date there is no software which can accurately predict 3_D structure from amino acid sequence alone. One can use homology modeling if there is any homologous protein with known 3-D structure. If there is no homologous protein then you are really in trouble as all sort of modeling depends upon on some sort of homology even threading softwares too.
For homology modeling you can try swissport homology modeling server. Its good.
best of luck

A lot of people would be out of work, if a program existed that worked presisely. With RNA you can make precise structure predictions, no program exists that does so for proteins really well.
But there are some prediction servers.
I can give you what I have found on the Internet and send you my links.

As others have stated, this is not reliable except for homology models. However, there have been significant recent breakthroughs in the area of ab initio structure prediction. You can try Robetta:

i agree with the fact that until now, no such software r present which could fully provide the 3-D structure of protein. though, people r working to develop such software. u can try swissport homology server for homologous proteins .

swiss-model is good. If u wanna do it urself, find homological template, and use modeller to do it. But ur result might only has 30% reliability. Anyway, molecule modeling by software is still not reliable yet.
