Anyone out there have a good recommendation for either a software program or a website that is useful for creating primers? Any input would be much appreciated!
The IDT website has a good integrated oligo designer and they make good oligoshttp://www.idtdna.com/SciTools/SciTools.aspxAlso there are oligo features and links to oligo sites built into the Vector NTI suite which is now freely available from invitrogen.https://catalog.invitrogen.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=userGroup.home
primer3http://frodo.wi.mit.edu/cgi-bin/primer3/primer3_www.cgiIt has a lot of features , but most are optional. Very good and efficient.
i have used the one from the IDT website many times, and it is very good.
