Anyone out there have a good recommendation for either a software program or a website that is useful for creating primers? Any input would be much appreciated!

The IDT website has a good integrated oligo designer and they make good oligos

http://www.idtdna.com/SciTools/SciTools.aspx

Also there are oligo features and links to oligo sites built into the Vector NTI suite which is now freely available from invitrogen.

primer3

It has a lot of features , but most are optional. Very good and efficient.
