Warning: Some of these are PG-13, but I got them from Wikipedia!! The last one is great.

-Oliver the optimistic octopus trots triumphantly about facing audiances glossily vaguely spinning hippos.
(Note that the accessory nerve is referred to by its alternate name Spinal accessory nerve, and the Vestibulocochlear nerve by its former name, Auditory, in this mnemonic.)

-On Old Olympus' Towering Top A Fin And German Viewed Some Hops (I learned this one as 'vended some hops')
(Note that the accessory nerve is referred to by its alternate name Spinal accessory nerve, and the Vestibulocochlear nerve by its former name, Auditory, in this mnemonic.)

-Ooh, Ooh, Ooh To Touch And Feel Very Good Velvet. Such Heaven!
(Note that the accessory nerve is referred to by its alternate name Spinal accessory nerve in this mnemonic.)

-Oh Once One Takes The Anatomy Final Very Good Vacations Are Heavenly

Another to help remember the types of information these nerves carry (sensory, motor, or both) is thus: Some Say Marry Money, But My Brother Says Big Brains Matter More.

A group of frogs is called an army.
A group of army officers is called a mess.

Ok, please, this is worse than PG-13, given that I got it from a bunch of military guys but, for those of you with off color thought processes:

 Olfactory I Sensory Oh Some
 Optic II Sensory Oh Say
 Oculomotor III Motor Oh Marry
 Trochlear IV Motor To Money
 Trigeminal V Both Touch But
 Abducens VI Motor And My
 Facial VII Both Feel Brother
Auditory (vestibulocochlear) VIII Sensory A Says
 Glossopharyngeal IX Both Girl's Big
 Vagus X Both Vagina Boobs
Spinal Accessory XI Motor So Matter
 Hypoglossal XII Motor Hot More

Ladies, I apologise, but these were taught to me by military men, so you know which part of their anatomy they were thinking with.
