I am currently doing Gelatin Zymography as a part of my ongoing experiments. Now here i encountered a problem and would be greatful to have your suggestions or solutions (even better). Could you please tell me how do i use markers in this technique, because at the end after staining the whole gel goes blue.

I would use a Kaleidascope marker like BioRad makes. Stain and destain and you should still be able to make out the colors of 25 and 75 kDa marker which are pink instead of blue.

HI, I would use GELATINASE ZYMOGRAPHY STANDARDS, from Chemicon International Inc. Catalog number CC073.

You can see the MMP standard as a clear band using this standard after staining
