Applications are invited from the citizens of India for filling up the following temporary position for the sponsored project undertaken in the Department of Chemical Engineering of this Institute. The positions are temporary initially for a period of 1 Year and tenable only for the duration of the project. The requisite qualification & experience etc. are given below:

Post Doctoral Fellow (1 Post )
Consolidated salary Rs.30000/- p.m.
Qualification
(i) PhD in Biochemistry / Microbiology with publication record and Excellent oral and written communication skills. (ii) Candidates with GATE / CSIR qualification will be given preference. (iii) Experience in biochemical and molecular biology techniques. (iv) Research experience with micro-algae. (v) experience in handling computer controlled bioreactors.
Job Profile Metabolic network construction and annotation. Design and conduct of experiments involving physiological and biochemical characterization and metabolome analysis of cyanobacteria. Conducting experiments for flux analysis. Preparation of reports.
Post Doctoral Fellow (1 Post )
Consolidated salary Rs.30000/- p.m.
Qualification
(i) PhD in Chemical Engineering with publication record and excellent oral and written communication skills. (ii) Candidates with GATE / CSIR qualification will be given preference. (iii) Experience in modeling and simulation of reaction networks. (iv) Candidates with B. Tech / M Tech in chemical engineering with exceptional academic record will also be considered at appropriate levels of salary.
Job Profile
(i) Construction, modeling and simulation of genome scale metabolic networks, (ii) Design of 13C based experiments for metabolic flux analysis, conduct of experiments and estimation of fluxes.
Senior Research Fellow (1 Post )
Consolidated salary Rs.16000/- p.m.
Qualification M.Sc in Biochemistry / Microbiology with 2 years of research experience and publication record with excellent oral and written communication skills. Candidates with GATE / CSIR qualification will be given preference. Experience in biochemical and molecular biology techniques desirable. Candidates without a formal research experience but with exceptional academic record will also be considered.
Job Profile Design and conduct of experiments involving physiological and biochemical characterization and metabolic flux analysis of cyanobacteria.
Senior Research Fellow (1 Post ) Consolidated salary Rs.16000/- p.m.
Qualification M.Sc. / M Tech in Bioinformatics with 2 years of research experience and publication record with excellent oral and written communication skills. Candidates with GATE / BINC / CSIR qualification will be given preference. Should be conversant with programming languages and use of bioinformatic tools / databases. Candidates without experience or candidates with a B Tech in computer science with exceptional academic record will also be considered.
Job Profile Genome annotation and reconstruction of metabolic network.
The appointment is for time bound project and the candidate is required to work mainly for the successful completion of the project. The selection committee may offer lower or higher designation and lower or higher salary depending upon the experience and performance of the candidate in the interview.
