The Institute of Microbial Technology (IMTECH) is a constituent R&D establishment of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR).Which is engaged in research in many different areas of modern Biological sciences and microbe-related Biotechnology, with special emphasis on research and development of an interdisciplinary nature, as exemplified by the broad areas, i.e. Microbiology, Protein Science & Engineering, Fermentation Science, Bio-informatics, Immunology and Cell Biology, molecular biology & genetics.
Institute wishes to recruit Research Interns (01 Position) under “CSIR Diamond Jubilee Research Interns Award Scheme” to attract young and brilliant candidates to demonstrate their interest in Scientific Research as well as for qualifying and securing other research fellowships as per details given below: -
Essential Qualification : M. Sc (Ist Class) in the area of Environmental Sciences /LifeScience/Bio-chemistry/Bio-Informatics/Bio-Physics/Bio-technology/Molecular-Biology/Microbiology
Desirable : Medical Technical Training etc.
Age Limit : 25 years as on 13.02.2012 relaxable upto 5 years in case of SC/ST, Physically Handicapped & 3 years in case of OBC.
Stipend : Rs.15,000/- p.m. (fixed)
Duration : Two years and not extendable.
The engagement for the above position is purely on temporary and contract basis for the period of duration of the Internship. Interns continuation in the scheme shall be reviewed after every six months and in case the performance is not satisfactory, the Internship can be terminated with one months notice or one months salary in lieu thereof without assigning any reasons. Such of the candidates who fulfills the aforesaid eligibility conditions may please walk in for interview on 13.02.2012 at 09:30 A.M (Sharp) in the Seminar Hall of this Institute along with complete bio-data together with latest passport size photograph and also enclosing Xerox copies of certificates/testimonials in support of date of birth, qualifications etc. No TA will be paid for attending the interview.
