Is it normal for the DAC value to be:
Be 6.8
Co 8.5
In 8.5
and still pass the SmartTune Autolens? I was assuming that the DAC values had to go up linearly. Is this something that would affect Mn not passing a calibration curve????
Thanks in advance.

Sounds Like an Oxide problem. try manualy lowering your Neb flow, than redo your Autolens.

Thank you for the reply.
What is the lowest number that the oxides could be? In the manual it states you want to get as close as possible to 0.3 without going over. I am sure that if you go too low than that would affect things as well.

the lower the better. That said as you lower the Neb flow you will see the background go up. I try to keep that below 30 counts at mass 220

I lowered the neb flow to 0.84 and the Autolens is failing
Be 7.25 max intesity 1549
Co 10 m.i. 118037
In 10 m.i. 232514
All with 29 points.
Is it ok to continue on with the daily performance or does the autolens need to pass in order to proceed.
Thank you for all your help on this. I am new to this instrument and do not have much guidance.

the lower your neb flow the lower your intensitys. If you need to lower your neb flow that low to get a good oxid ratio you may have a leak some were in the system. I would clean your sample intro system. Nebulizer all the way to the lens. Change all your o- ring. then redo your optimization.
hope this helps.
