PROGRAM OVERVIEW


The 9th Annual Affymetrix User Group Meeting: Advances in Genomic Discovery and Molecular Medicine will be held in San Francisco from May 16-17, 2006. This meeting will bring together over two hundred scientists from academic institutions, biotech and pharmaceutical companies and provides a forum to share information related to use of Affymetrix technology for a wide range of current and emerging applications. This year's meeting includes both general sessions with several keynote speakers followed by parallel meeting tracks that include sessions on genetics, toxicogenomics, oncology, transcriptome analysis, clinical applications and data analysis breakout sessions. These session tracks will include invited speakers that represent high level scientists describing their research in these areas.

Application Tracks


Application tracks will include presentations by invited speakers describing their research in these areas. The sessions will also be moderated by an Affymetrix scientist. Three of the tracks will run on each day and you are free to move between tracks depending on your interests. View agenda for more information.

Data Analysis Tracks


The Data Analysis Track contains a series of introductory level breakout sessions providing the opportunity to interact with other users of similar skill level while gaining valuable information and insights from experienced Affymetrix scientists. The breakouts and workshops in the Data Analysis Track will be led by Affymetrix scientists and Field Application Specialists. The Data Analysis Track is most appropriate for beginning level GeneChip microarray users. View agenda for more detailed information.
Poster Session
Submit an abstract for a poster presentation. Registration fees will be waived for the primary presenter of all selected posters. Read more.
Software Provider Workshops
These workshops are an opportunity to learn more about your microarray data analysis options. Affymetrix is inviting several of our GeneChip Compatible Software Providers to present information on their analysis packages on Tuesday. Please view agenda for specific program details.
