If the Storm 860 is what we refer to as "the phosphoimager", then our's is defect. Infact, it breaks down about twice a year and is in danger of costing more to repair than it did to buy.
Sorry about the (slight) rant, but if there is an alternative to buying a machine from Molecular Dynamics / Storm or what ever they call themselves, I would take it.

The storm imagers are an old GE/Amersham product line. I think most people have switched to their higher end product the Typhoon over the past 5 years. I think it will do everything the Storm would do plus more.

Are any of you willing to part ways with your units? We are looking to purchase a 9410 next december. But would like something to bridge the gap during that time period at a lower price.
