I have purchased LPS from SIGMA, but no information regarding its reconstitution is available. Can anybody advise me on the solvent that is to be used, storage temperature etc.

We use both Sigma LPS and Ultra Pure LPS from List Biologicals, and for both we resuspend in water (to 1mg/mL) and heat to around 50 degrees Celcius with intermittent vortexing (or sonication). It can be stored at 4 degrees short term, or in the freezer (-20 degrees is fine), indefinitely. This information, including references, is from the information sheet that came with our List Biologicals LPS(listlabs.com).

We use LPS from Sigma in our laboratory and reconstitute it in 1 or 2 mL of Dulbecco's PBS (also from Sigma), depending on the desired concentration, and store at 4C for up to a year (although we normally use the entire vial within one year). Hope that helps!
