Upcoming Lecture/Lab Course
GenNext will be hosting a 12-day intensive lecture and laboratory program at the University of Georgia in Athens on August 7-18, 2006.
Students can attend the five-day Translational Research Lecture Course and then elect to continue on with the companion seven-day wet-lab course. This Translational Research Lab Course, led by experienced practitioners, will give students first-hand experience with the latest genomics microarray, mass spec-based top-down proteomics, gel-based top-down proteomics, and bottom-up proteomics techniques and technology platforms.
Along with a review of the ethical conduct of research, the lecture program will also involve extensive discussions of the components and design of effective clinical studies with particular emphasis placed upon bi-directional exchange of information and ideas between basic research and the clinic.
