Hi, I am looking for a good method to detect Glycosylated proteins in 2D gels. I prefer using a Fluorescent method. Any Idea?

Heres a good beginner kit from Sigma called the glycoprofile III http://www.sigmaaldrich.com/catalog/search/ProductDetail/SIGMA/PP0300These kits focus on N-linked glycosylation of course so if your protein contains O-linked glycans you'll have to employ different methodology. Unfortunately much mpre complicated. There are also tons of lectins out there that bind to specific glycan moieties RB

RB, thank you for the reply. I looked at the web site and it seems to be an interesting product. I will ask for a sample. It is great that it can work on gels and on membranes. Did you try it? Guy
