I am actively engaged in research and development of algal biosorbet for removal of heavy metals, nitrate and phosphate. I am using marine algae for removal of above pollutants. I am interested in characterization of cell wall that is assumed as the major site of cation and anion adsorption. Could anybody give me information about analytical method for determination of different functional groups on surface of algal cells?
