I am looking for a more senstive methods to see my 2D spots in western blotting.

Have you tried replacing ECL with Pierce SuperSignal West Femto HRP substrate?

The sensitivity is very high but it tends to produce background has well.
To minimize the backgroung problem you can also mix the Pico reagent with about 10% Femto to get a substrate solution of intermediate sensibility.

Good Luck

M

Hi
Thanks MBeaul,
I checked the pierce supersignal. They sent me a try out sample.
It is great much more sensative.
Got the signal that I looked for,
I got a bit of background but it is ok.
