I am looking to the choice of social contact in eight groups of monkeys (n=8) and have recorded the frequency of such contacts. I would like to examine if males contact males or females more often. However each group of monkeys has a different sex ratio (thus a different probability of random contacts). Is there a test that would work for this? Or is there some way to weigh my data points by the sex ratio in order to just run a t-test?
Thank you in advance!
