Hi all...........

Regular T cells are a specialized subpopulation of T cells that act to suppress activation of the immune system and thereby maintain immune system homeostasis and tolerance to self. But
An important question in the field of immunology is how the immunosuppressive activity of regulatory T cells is modulated during the course of an ongoing immune response.

hello,
At the time of infection dendritic cells .i.e APC cells carry CD40 ligand on their surface and binding of this ligand on CD4 cells i.e regulatory T cells induces B7 expression in dendritic cells and enables it to costimulate the naive CD8 cells i.e cytotoxic T cells.regulatory T cells may also contributing  role in infection by producing IL-2 whc act to promote CD8 cells differentiation.
