Which system is better for laser capture when you want to isolate single cells (stained with fluorescent-conjugated antibodies) : Arcturus or Leica? Why?
Thanks
Patrick

We have two different laser microdissection microscopes: Arcturus Pixell II uses a low energy infra-red laser to activate a thermoplastic capture film on special tube cap, and a Leica microscope which uses a cutting beam and 'laser pressure catapulting' to collect selected cells . Both instruments are capable of collecting down to single cells depending on the tissue. Therefore you need to find out from each company the best instrument for the type of tissue you need to use.
