I would like to digest my protein with 2-Iodosobenzoic acid and CnBr. Can anyone suggest/help find a protocol for protein digestion with CnBr and with 2-iodosobenzoic acid.

CNBr Digestion

A. Precautions

1. CNBr is extremely toxic!
2. handle with appropriate care
3. all operations to be performed in a hood

B. 2M CNBr stock solution

1. make up in neat acetonitrile
2. store at -20 C in the dark

C. Digestion

1. dissolve sample in 0.1 N HCl
2. add 1/10 volume CNBr stock solution
3. let sit at RT overnignt in the dark
4. dry sample under nitrogen stream
